IMAGE EDITING

INTRODUCTION

A picture is worth a thousand words.  From websites to family photos, images are all around us.

I am well qualified to edit your photos and images as I have personally edited hundreds of photos and images over the last 20 years. Whether you have family pictures that need a touchup, or product images that need certain elements removed, I can help.

If you would like to work with me to edit your images, or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me via the CONTACT button in the top menu.

I look forward to working with you!

THIS IS THE GENERAL PROCESS I USE WHEN EDITING IMAGE FILES

NOTE: All image editing work is accomplished using Adobe Photoshop CC and/or Adobe Lightroom CC.

STEP #1: REVIEW THE PROJECT SCOPE

The first step is for me to understand the scope of the project. This includes understanding the following:

  • Project purpose
  • Target audience
  • Timeline (when the project is due)
  • What type of images I will receive from you (for example:  JPG images with resolution of 1920x1080p)

STEP #2: DOWNLOAD / RECEIVE RAW IMAGE FILES

I can download / receive the raw image files in a number of ways based on your preference. It is best if you zip the image files. Some common ways for me to receive image files are:

  • Dropbox (most common)
  • Google Drive shared link
  • Server download link

STEP #3: REMOVE UNWANTED IMAGE ELEMENTS INCLUDING SCRATCHES

When elements of an image need to be removed, I use Adobe Photoshop CC.

  • Create copy of original image
  • Remove unwanted image elements
  • Fill in area that was removed to make it appear natural

STEP #4: COLOR-CORRECT or ENHANCE the IMAGE

When a photo or image needs to be color-corrected, I use Adobe Lightroom CC.

  • Create copy of original image
  • Color correct as necessary
